The Robert Machemer Foundation<\/strong> and the IRRF<\/strong> have collaborated to establish the Robert Machemer, MD Foundation and International Retinal Research Foundation Fellowship, that will provide $100,000 a year in career research development.\u00a0 <\/span>The goal is to support the transition of a vitreoretinal surgical fellow to pursue independent research to improve knowledge of the causes and treatment of vitreoretinal diseases.\u00a0 <\/span>Eligible applicants are senior vitreoretinal surgical fellows.\u00a0 <\/span>Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and ranked based on the potential of the applicant, the quality and feasibility of research, and the mentoring plan. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To learn more about this Award, follow the below link to The Robert Machemer Foundation, go HERE<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 2022 Robert Machemer MD and IRRF Fellowship Awardee<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
